Wickes, a prominent home improvement retailer and garden centre, conquer operational challenges across their 200+ stores in the UK. Our primary focus was to provide accurate and compliant in-store labelling, thereby enhancing the customer experience and improving their bottom line.
Our collaborative efforts led to the design of new format promotional labels with NetTickIT, reducing the number of templates and label sizes used by over 40%. Additionally, we identified several other benefits Wickes would realise as they rolled out NetTickIT across their estate:
- A substantial reduction of 85% in manual intervention in signage production
- An improvement in promotional setup accuracy on shelf edge labels, reducing the error rate from 25% to less than 1%
- An estimated 50% reduction in point of sale sizes and templates, lowering in-store signage equipment costs
- Implementation of new micro-perforated paper for all shelf edge labels
- Simple in-store printing that requires only black ink, which is 90% cheaper than colour printing
- Integration of NetTickIT with their existing Hand Terminals for easy price checking
- Implementation of a single sign-on as part of their in-store user interface for NetTickIT
As a result of our solution, Wickes is set to reduce customer refunds due to incorrect pricing by over £1m in the first year of implementing NetTickIT. Furthermore, we anticipate that print and paper savings will exceed £400k within the same timeframe. Following a successful pilot in select stores, NetTickIT is currently being rolled out across the Wickes estate.
